Shared Decision-Making
District includes students and families in shared decision-making
to support student learning experiences and outcomes.
INDICATOR 1.1. Establish board policies and administrative regulations for shared power that include student and family participation in decision-making.
INDICATOR 1.2. Engage students and families in the development of board policy and regulations for educator and staff conduct.
INDICATOR 1.3. Establish a vision, principles and standards for family engagement that are evaluated annually by students and families.
INDICATOR 1.4. Include student and family recommendations in allocating resources to systemic changes that will help improve learning experiences, opportunities, and outcomes for students with the highest needs.
INDICATOR 1.5. Include students and families in the design, monitoring, and implementation of the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) (i.e. the school district strategic plan).
Indicator 1.6. Provide transparency for how student and family input is represented in the LCAP.
Indicator 1.7. Ensure LCAP and budget development processes and timelines are communicated to students and families, and that students and families are supported to participate in LCAP and budget development.
